About the Work
City Harvest exists to end hunger in communities throughout New York City through food rescue and distribution, education, and other practical, innovative solutions.
We’re thrilled to announce the completion of a major website overhaul City Harvest’s flagship website. We built their new home on the web from the ground up, working with City Harvest leadership throughout the design and development process to create a secure, future facing, user-friendly desktop and mobile responsive website that shows the full breadth of the organization’s impact.
Key aspects of the project include an extensive Search Engine Optimization (SEO) audit, a dollars-to-pounds interactive on donation impact and other data visualizations, and CRM integration and design application on the Blackbaud framework. The project also included custom templates for programs, fundraising events, the City Harvest Food Council, and corporate partners.
Our work with City Harvest is a prime case study for continued partnerships at the forefront of nonprofits, healthy communities, and volunteerism in New York City!

City Harvest Dollars to Pounds Interactive

The new site brings City Harvest up to date with modern usage patterns, with a responsive design across all devices and browsers.

Prioritized establishing photos and calls to action anchor the homepage.

Custom featured content panels present the homepage as a visual "table of contents" and announcements platform.

A masonry grid presents groups of people on the new site--in this case the City Harvest Food Council.

Dynamic glossary tooltips allow for inline clarification and assistance
