About the Work
Reading Rescue brings expertise in intervention into schools; not only do the students who are tutored excel, but as a result of improved pedagogical skills, a significant collateral benefit is increased achievement among all the students taught by a school’s Reading Rescue-trained tutors.
Social Ink worked with the Literacy Trust to create a new online home for its literacy intervention program, Reading Rescue. Our team created a robust website that serves Reading Rescue’s tutors and other stakeholders, as an online calling card and value proposition for donors and supporters, and as a tool in the classroom, as the organization can onboard new tutors on-site, using tablets to pass around and bring new members on board.Following signup and administrative confirmation, private tutor content is “walled” behind a secure member log-in system.
Logistically, we worked hand-in-hand with organizational brand directors, video and other content producers to make sure that the brand and visual assets were in parallel. The site accommodates embedded video, and a data-driven interactive map for site locations.
It’s been a pleasure to work alongside Reading Rescue during the creation of their new platform. We are happy to expand upon our work on websites for nonprofits!
