About the Work

The Good Fork restaurant in Red Hook, Brooklyn is one of our favorite restaurants in the city. You can imagine how thrilled we were when we were given the opportunity to implement the designs and develop their new website. If you’ve never been, find a way to go! As the new website says, it “feels like being inside a boat or the diner car of an old train. It boasts an eclectic, globe trotting menu that has one foot in comfort food and the other in fine dining.”

Our work on the website involved building a customized CMS that provides a public calling card for the restaurant, aligning its aesthetic with the ambiance of the physical space, while fitting the needs of the owners, converting the designs to a smooth, fast-loading site. Specific features of the site include a high resolution slide show, easy to update menus for dinner, brunch, dessert, and the bar, several informational pages, and easy to update press reviews and clippings.

As part of our larger mission to provide beautiful websites for small businesses, we’re particularly thrilled to be working to design websites for restaurants, making a better web for the hardworking and creative endeavors of the new Brooklyn food movement.
