About the Work
The 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is an international campaign coordinated by the Center for Women’s Global Leadership. It is used by activists around the world as an organizing strategy to call for the elimination of all forms of gender-based violence.
The website is a focal point for yearly organizing around a specific theme, through which the organization can promote events on a global scale, share key resources, and provide supplementary information, as well as fundraise for its own mission. The organization is sponsored by Rutgers University.
The site features a dynamic, interactive map which automatically maps relevant global events based on event time, highlighting partner organizations. Key resources are shared in a resource library and accessed through a filter-based advanced search mechanism. The site features a block-based design system for creation of unique, multifaceted ‘hub’ pages with featured content, multimedia, and links to related content throughout the site.
Social Ink is proud to continue our work alongside the Center for Women’s Global Leadership, as part of our ongoing work with nonprofit and NGOs, particularly in the field of gender and women’s rights and social equity.
