About the Work
In fall 2017 we teamed up with the Associated Musicians of Greater New York to completely revamp their website. As New York City’s local of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 802 advocates for professional musicians in the city. We worked with Local 802 administrators to create an immersive, communicative site that Local members can use to receive the latest updates on contract negotiations, organizing actions, band booking, and easily access archived issues of Allegro, the Local’s print publication.
Some key features of the site include: custom contact forms that take messages from the Local’s 7,500+ members and distribute them to the appropriate administrator, web interactives for contracts and travel guidelines, email integration for urgent contract negotiation updates, and filtered search of twenty years of past publications. As with all sites we build, local802afm.org is mobile and responsive across tablets, laptops, desktops, phones, and an array other screens.
We really enjoyed working with a large organization that serves so many musicians throughout New York City. This project with Local 802 is a continuation of Social Ink’s websites for unions and advocacy organizations!
